BlackGen Capital at Yale -- the only minority-owned finance organization on campus-- is gathering donations to fund a community-based professional development program for local high school students, afford BlackGen Capital traveling expenses outside of New Haven, and allow us to plan networking events with companies as well as internal social events. Having only started last semester, BlackGen Capital at Yale hopes to engage in ambitious programming for its first full year. As part of this programming, we hope to:
+ Raise $300 to connect with New Haven high schools to provide a professional development session alongside general college advice.
+ We are also looking to raise $400 for a networking conference.
+ Lastly, we hope to gather $600 to cover internal BlackGen Capital events and logistics. $300 would go to transportation, and $300 would go towards planning a significant BlackGen social event to build camaraderie within our group.
BlackGen Capital is fortunate enough to bridge multiple identities and, with your donation, BlackGen Capital at Yale can reach out into the community and focus on forging the pipeline for diversity into financial services.
